Fridge
Guidelines

Community Fridges TO are maintained by volunteers and community members. Donations can be made to the fridge, freezer, and pantry any time, 24/7. Anyone is welcome to take whatever they need, any time, 24/7.

Help keep fridges safe by following these guidelines:

  1. Please review our list of accepted and not accepted items below.

  2. Packaged food must be labelled (no unlabelled bulk bags).

  3. Prepared food must be made in a commercial kitchen and labelled with date and ingredients.

Fridge Etiquette

  1. Please ensure that your hands are clean if you intend to access the fridge.

  2. Avoid unnecessary contact with food items to prevent contamination.

  3. If you notice food has gone bad or packaging has been compromised, please throw it away.

  4. Check use-by dates on food products.

  5. Discard out-of-date food and do not consume prepared food after seven days.

  6. Please put new donations toward the back of the shelves so that food gets eaten in the order it is donated.

  7. Please do not donate anything that you would not personally consume.

  8. If you noticed or cause a spill, please clean up whenever possible.

  9. If you notice that the fridge needs cleaning or maintenance, please contact us via email at info@communityfridgesto.org
